'Flesh isn't forever' is a collaboration between Pelin (@teaglitch) and Skia (@skiaryn) on death, impermanence, and peace.
This zine was born out of our feelings and thoughts around impermanence and death, two constants in life that carry heavy feelings such as fear, grief, despair. We wanted to explore softer and kinder ways of thinking about death and impermanence, whilst also acknowledging the weight of it.
This is in no manner or way the only way to engage with death, but it is one we found worthy of sharing with an audience in hopes of providing a new perspective on the concept and reality of impermanence.
We wanted to create a piece of work that would give space to these feelings in the form of poetry, photography, digital and traditional art, and hopefully instil in you a sort of peacefulness and acceptance that has guided us in times of vulnerability.
If you're reading a copy, please engage with it when you feel you are in a safe and comfortable state of being and allow time and space to process any emotions that might come up.
